Girls with Grit

September 18-23, 2024

Get ready to enjoy a wild experience in Yellowstone National Park! For women and led by women, you are given the opportunity to learn more skills, empower yourself in the backcountry, feel seen, heard, and loved.

Girls With Grit Collective is for the community, it’s for women + girls and it’s goal is to get more ladies out mountain biking, skiing, trail running, hiking, stand up paddle boarding, dirt biking, climbing, fly fishing and beyond — AND its purpose is to create a community where women can meet other women through adventure and can inspire one another along the way.

Coach. Athlete. Mom. Wife. Photographer. Writer. Fishing Guide. SHANNON MAHRE brings women together to find their true grit. Shannon’s passion is to create communities of women that feel confident to play outdoors. Find your laughter while finding the fish.

It takes practice to be good at something. Sometimes we spend too much time focused on the destination when it is truly about the journey.

Trip Components

Learn New Things! Fly fishing, yoga, backpacking, camping, backcountry cooking, leave no trace, and more. All activities are challenge by choice and can accomodate all levels of experience.

Inspiration! Nature is healing and it speaks very loudly in the landscape of Yellowstone National Park. Unplugged and disconnected from phones, allows for an immersive experience into quietness. Let the view wash over you as your mind wanders and creativity begins to flow once again.
