  • How big will our group be? 6-10 is our average group size

  • What’s not Covered?: Flights and travel costs to and from Grand Junction, Colorado and last night dinner out.

  • What’s the weather like? As with any outdoor trip, weather is mother nature’s decision. Average temperatures range from 65 to 95 degrees.

  • What if I have never camped or even slept in a tent? Don’t worry, we've got you covered! Breakwater and Team Mahre are longtime outdoor enthusiasts + experienced guides with many wilderness expeditions under our belts so we know the ropes and do the heavy lifting. We pack all the gear needed for a more enjoyable camping experience and to keep you protected, dry and comfortable...all we ask is for you to come ready for a new fun adventure!

  • I don’t know how to paddle a stand up paddle-board. The water on the stretch of the Green River that we travel is flat and calm; we'll teach everyone the proper techniques needed to safely navigate your paddle-board or tandem canoe so no experience is necessary. The guides are right there for support the entire time and you'll gain more confidence in your new navigational skills each day.

  • Food - I have a restricted diet, I am picky, I just don’t want to eat hot dogs. Among our many talents, Breakwater guides are renowned backcountry gourmet chefs and will wow you at each meal! We're able to accommodate dietary restrictions + we bring yummy healthy snacks too. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner, our menus are designed to appeal to everyone — meat lovers, veggie lovers, healthy eaters, and lovers of desserts.
