When Todd opened Breakwater Expeditions back in 2011, it was with the goal of helping people change their lives through the power of nature. Inspired by his own personal experiences and connections with people he met along the way, he has guided hundreds of clients with infusing more purpose, passion, and intention into their lives…all in spectacular outdoor settings!

An avid outdoorsman, Todd has spent most of his life exploring and adventuring. He earned his degree in Environmental Science from Indiana University and has been fortunate to work out in the “great outdoors” since. At Breakwater, he wears many hats, primarily serving as a seasoned guide and logistical master.

With over 18 years of experience and 2000+ days in the field, he’s had the pleasure of serving a variety of populations from early teens to adults. Happiest with a paddle in his hand, Todd finds power in movement, drawing from it a passion for life which he shares with his wife, two sons, and anyone he meets.

Certifications: Wilderness First Responder, Swift Water Rescue, ACA Sea Kayak Instructor, RCABC Canoe Tripping Instructor, Avalanche Level 1, American Red Cross Lifeguard
